Mrs. Paige Vick, Assistant Principal of International Studies

My name is Paige Vick, and I am the Assistant Principal at International Studies. I am thrilled to serve our students, families, and staff in this role. I bring 12 years of experience in education, having spent 8 years teaching first grade and the past 4 years serving as an assistant principal. During that time, I earned my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

The most rewarding part of my job is building strong relationships with students and their families. Please know that I always have your child’s best interest at heart and am deeply committed to supporting their success—academically, socially, and emotionally. By partnering together, we can ensure every student understands that learning is a priority at International Studies and that we will do whatever it takes to help them thrive.

Several years ago, IS implemented the Ron Clark Academy House System to promote leadership and community. I am proud to be a member of the House of Nukumori—the House of Kindness. Nukumori is a Japanese term, our house color is purple, and our house is represented by the dragon.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband, our daughters, Olivia and Lillian, and our dog, Fawkes. I love staying active—whether that means working out or cheering on the Red Wolves—and I truly cherish making memories with friends and family.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about me. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions about International Studies or Jonesboro Public Schools.

Mrs. Amanda Mirafuentes, Assistant Principal of International Studies

I am excited to serve as the new Assistant Principal of Student Services at International Studies and look forward to working closely with your students throughout the year to ensure their success. With 24 years in education—23 of those within the Jonesboro School District—I bring a deep commitment to supporting both students and staff.

Over the course of my career, I spent twelve years teaching in grades 4–6 classrooms and eleven years serving as a literacy instructional coach. I am truly thrilled to be at International Studies and especially grateful to return to working directly with students and families.

I firmly believe that a strong partnership between home and school is the foundation of a successful year. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families is a priority for me, and I am eager to get to know each of you as the year progresses.

On a personal note, my husband, Jayson, and I have been married for 25 years. He recently joined the Jonesboro Schools family as a drama teacher at Annie Camp Junior High. We are proud parents of two sons who graduated from Jonesboro High School. As a family, we enjoy vacations together as well as simple game or movie nights at home. In my free time, I love spending time with my family, baking, and reading.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. My goal is to ensure that every student and family finds a sense of belonging and success at International Studies.

I look forward to a wonderful year together!
